Does the Library/LRC have a copy of the textbook I need for my class?

Answer

The West Hills Community College District Libraries make course textbooks available in the library IF the instructor has requested that we purchase a copy. These textbooks, and other materials for classes, are put on Reserve and are available for a shorter loan period so that everyone in the class can have access to them.
  • NOT ALL COURSES WILL HAVE TEXTBOOKS ON RESERVE.
  • For a full list of available reserve textbooks, please visit our Reserve Textbooks LibGuide.
  • Students must provide library staff with a photo ID or WHCCD Student ID card.
  • Students may check out course textbooks for two hours for in library use only.
  • Students may make copies and take photos of these materials as long as they abide by the rules of copyright.
